Terms of Use

Last updated 20 July 2026. The rules for using mayd-it.com and the May’d It modules. Plain English, and short where it can be — but the disclaimers in sections 5 to 8 are the ones that actually matter, so please read those.

The short version
  • We are Mayd It LLC, a small software company in Washington State, USA.
  • The modules are free tools, provided as is. Use them at your own risk.
  • Health Coach is not medical advice. It is a wellness tool, not a doctor.
  • We are not affiliated with ISACA, and Study Buddy is not an official CRISC product.
  • Our security tools are not professional security, legal or compliance advice, and the sample data in them is fictional.
  • Games sold on Steam and tools published on Apify are governed by those platforms’ terms, not these.
  • Questions: bmay@mayd-it.com.

1. Who these terms are with

mayd-it.com is operated by Mayd It LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Washington, United States (UBI 606 247 926). Mayd-It Games is the brand we release games under and “May’d it” is the consumer brand on this site; both are brands of Mayd It LLC, not separate companies.

By using this website or any of the modules linked from it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. How we handle data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.

2. What the May’d It modules are

May’d It is a small collection of self-contained tools and games, each on its own address. They are offered free of charge and without any account, except where a section below says otherwise. We build them because they are useful; we do not sell them, and we do not sell you.

These terms cover mayd-it.com and the modules listed on it. Two of our properties have their own separate terms because they are sold or hosted elsewhere:

3. Using this site

Use the site and the modules lawfully, and do not: break into or probe any part of the site you are not authorised to use; attempt to access another person’s account or data; scrape, overload, or disrupt the service; or use our tools to do something illegal or to harm someone else.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any module at any time. Some are experiments, and some will be retired.

4. The employee portal

The staff area at /employees.html is for authorised Mayd It LLC personnel only. Accounts are created by us; there is no public sign-up. If you hold an account you are responsible for keeping your password and second factor secure, and for what happens under your login. Do not share credentials.

Attempting to access the portal without authorisation is prohibited, and depending on where you are may also be a criminal offence. Tell us at bmay@mayd-it.com if you believe an account has been compromised.

5. Health Coach is not medical advice

Please read this one

Health Coach is a general wellness and goal-setting tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat anything, and nothing it produces is medical advice.

It asks for information such as height, weight, sex and lifestyle answers, and returns general estimates and suggestions calculated from standard published formulas. Those outputs are illustrative estimates only. They are not a clinical assessment, they are not personalised to your medical history, and they may be wrong for you.

Always speak to a qualified healthcare professional before acting on anything the tool suggests, before starting or changing any diet, exercise, fasting or supplement routine, and about any medical concern. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number immediately.

The tool is intended for adults. It is not designed for children, and it is not appropriate for anyone who is pregnant, has an eating disorder or a history of disordered eating, or has a medical condition affecting diet, weight or exercise, without professional guidance.

6. Study Buddy, CRISC, and ISACA

Independent study aid

Mayd It LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise connected to ISACA.

CRISC® and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ are trademarks of ISACA. We use those names only to describe what our independent study tool helps you prepare for, which is nominative fair use. Study Buddy is not an official ISACA product, is not licensed or reviewed by ISACA, and is not part of any ISACA training programme.

Our practice material is written by us. It is not drawn from real exam questions and it does not reproduce ISACA’s copyrighted material. We make no promise that using it will help you pass any exam, and the official syllabus and ISACA’s own materials are always the authority.

7. Virtual CISO and Exfil Matrix are not professional advice

Our security tools help you think through risk. They are not professional security, legal, audit or compliance advice, and using them does not create any advisory or consulting relationship between us.

Their output depends entirely on what you put in. A risk rating, an attack path or a coverage score produced by these tools is a structured opinion, not an assurance that your environment is secure or that you meet any standard, regulation or contractual obligation. Do not rely on them as evidence of compliance, and have qualified professionals review anything that matters.

Any data shown by default in these tools is fictional sample data, created to demonstrate the interface. It does not describe any real organisation’s security posture, including ours.

The Exfil Matrix builds on a framework and approach credited on the tool itself to Erick Rudiak. That credit is an acknowledgement of influence only; it does not imply he reviewed, endorsed or is responsible for our tool.

8. Data Tools and public records

Our Data Tools are published on the Apify platform, at apify.com/maydit. The pages and guides on this site describe them and link to them. When you run one, you are using Apify’s platform under Apify’s terms, and any charges are billed by Apify, not by us.

These tools retrieve information from public government sources and other third-party sources. We do not own that data, we do not guarantee it is accurate, complete or current, and we cannot correct errors in a source record. Government datasets are frequently delayed, incomplete or wrong, and their APIs change without notice.

You are responsible for how you use what you retrieve. That includes complying with the terms and rate limits of the underlying sources, and with any law that applies to your use of the data — for example rules on background screening, credit, employment, insurance or marketing. Do not use our tools to make decisions about a person in a context regulated by such laws.

9. Games

Browser games on our subdomains are free to play and provided for entertainment. Scores and progress are usually stored in your own browser, are not guaranteed to persist, and can be lost when you clear your browser data. DEFLEKT is sold separately through Steam and is governed by its own terms and Valve’s.

10. What belongs to whom

The design, text, code, artwork, audio and branding of this site and our modules belong to Mayd It LLC or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the sites normally in a browser and link to them freely. You may not copy, republish, resell or redistribute our content, or present it as your own, without written permission.

Third-party names and marks that appear on our sites — including ISACA, Steam and Valve, Apify, Netlify and Google — belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify those products and services.

Anything you type into a module stays in your browser unless a page tells you otherwise; we do not claim ownership of it.

11. Links to other sites

Our sites link out to services we do not control, including Steam, Apify, GitHub and government data sources. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or how they treat your data. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you are on them.

12. No warranty

Everything here is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not promise the sites will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, and we do not promise any particular result from using them.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mayd It LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, this site or any module — whether or not we were told such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the site and the free modules is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Washington State will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer somewhere with laws that give you rights you cannot waive, this does not take those rights away.

15. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the sites after a change means you accept the updated terms. This page is linked from the site footer so it stays easy to find.
